Rainscreen Wall Assemblies
The rain-screen wall system is the logical solution for wall durability for any walls unprotected by adequate overhanging roof structures. The rain-screen solution includes improving a traditional "concealed barrier" or "face sealed" wall system to provide a cavity and flashing detailing behind the cladding material. This assembly provides the primary water deflection of an appropriate cladding system, encourages drainage behind the cladding, venting/drying of cavity, and is constructed of durable materials. For the entire history of our Company we have been installing rain-screen wall cladding assemblies. However, rain-screen (or cavity wall) cladding detailing is much more than just installing a gap behind the siding or stucco. The critical components are the care and detail to the air and moisture barriers, flashing, and interfaces with wall penetrations (windows/doors, railings, decks and balconies, services, etc.). We also provide exterior cavity insulation services to greatly increase the thermal performance of the exterior wall.
